Today Mrs. Hopkins was absent: thank you sick toddler!
Students turned in their WWI poetry analysis work to their class baskets on the counter, as well as their yellow summary sheets. Each class watched the last 45 minutes or so (some of this may be a review) of the 1979 film version of All Quiet on the Western Front. Students dida quick write-up of the movie, which they will turn in tomorrow:

Final Work Days on DWAThese are the final work days for the DWA. Tuesday is 3rd period, and Wednesday is 4th and 6th period. Final drafts of the DWA must be submitted to the LA department Turnitin.com class. You should have already joined the class. If you have not, enrollment instructions with codes are on the second page of the Part 2 instructions. Please title your submission with Mrs. Hopkins' last name and your period number. For example: Hopkins 3. At this point, you are only entitled to extra time if you have been absent at some point during the last week, or if you have special accommodations. You must talk with Mrs. Hopkins if you need more time. You do not have any additional homework over our short Thanksgiving break. However, please make sure you have completed your WWI poetry analysis, have it printed out (yes, it needs to be typed), and ready to turn in on Monday. In addition, bring in the yellow chapter summary sheet to be checked off. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!SOPHOMORE DISTRICT WRITING ASSESSMENT (DWA) |
