Today we dove right back into Lord of the Flies, reading Chapter 8. If we do not finish in class, please finish for homework tonight. Quiz tomorrow. Two final work days on the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
Wednesday, May 18:
Read Chapter 5 for homework Skyward Quiz on chapters 4 & 5 by noon tomorrow Thursday, May 19 Read Chapter 6 for homework Friday, May 20 Read Chapter 7 for homework Quiz on 6 & 7 by 7:40 am on Monday. This week is ELA Smarter Balance Testing. This is happening during regular class time, and will take, at the minimum, all week. There will be an expectation for some reading at home so that we can keep up with our curriculum.

Some announcements/reminders: **Turn in your rubrics for the Julius Caesar essay. You need to score yourself. I will not grade your essay without this. **Homework tonight: Read chapter 3 in LOTF. It should take a total of 22 minutes, according to the Mr. Ramsey videos. No excuses. There will be a quiz tomorrow. **Smarter Balance testing is happening during our class-time every day next week. You will be expected to be reading at home during testing week. Work time today on the group "paper doll" project. Be ready to present tomorrow. |
