LIT CIRCLES GROUP MEETING #1 [No class on Wednesday due to testing schedule.]
Work time on map project. Submit final maps during class to sub, episodes are due online. No class on Friday due to Memorial Day weekend. ***No writing prompts this week.*** Final Map Projects will be due during class on Thursday. You will have all class period to finalize your episodes and your map. You *must* submit your physical map to the sub (whether hand-drawn or computer-generated), and then submit all episodes (1-10) online to Turnitin.com. You will need to bring printed versions of your episodes to class on Wednesday, May 27. Today we had an introduction to our final unit of the year: Literature Circles, reading either The Great Gatsby or Their Eyes Were Watching God. Please find the list of groups and books below:
Lit circles are a lot like the book groups we did first semester, except all of our class time will be devoted to planning for meetings or having meetings. In addition, the group roles (which will rotate) are very clearly defined and have worksheets for clarity. You will be receiving those worksheets/packets on Thursday. Below you will find the reading/meeting schedule for each book. Please adhere to these. I will be following up with you during our first meeting next week.
We did not meet today because of the testing schedule.
