Today we finished watching the Luhrmann scenes, and watched the corresponding scenes from the 1974 version (beginning of the film). Then, we were given this amazing awesome astounding analysis assignment (see what I did there??!!) New due date: THURSDAY, online by 4pm. Please see below for our writing prompt.
Today we read Chapter 2 of The Great Gatsby. Click here for an amazing video of Mrs. Hopkins reading this chapter, or as she likes to call it, "The Apartment Scene." We then began watching the corresponding scenes in the Baz Luhrmann film adaptation from 2013. We will be doing a close-reading analysis between the novel and two film adaptations. Nothing to report today because it's LAST BLAST!
